I hated UCD but pushed through a primary degree in French and Spanish. I still can't speak French, and I'm still convinced I'm fluent in Spanish.

When I was 23 and lost (see UCD hatred above), I thought about doing a postgrad in Information Technology. The man I was seeing at the time told me I shouldn’t do computers because, in his words, 'you might find it too hard'. He lasted as long as it took me to fill out the application form.

If I could be any animal, I'd be a duck. Ducks fly, swim, and walk, and go great with plum sauce.

Speaking of animals, a boyfriend once told me that my skin felt 'as soft as a young cow'.

My kids make me laugh everyday. Overheard this morning: 'Which would you like to be: a pig, or a diamond pig?'

No, I cannot make this shit up.

I believe in paying it forward AND paying it back. There's enough for both.

My favourite chocolate is Fry's Chocolate Cream. My favourite drink is tea. My favourite meal is anything cooked by someone else.

I am proud to be a donor to the Brenda Novak’s For the CureOnline Auction for Diabetes Research. In 2013 and 2014, I calligraphed pieces that generated over $700!

I am second-youngest of seven children. My parents are the kindest and most wonderful people, my siblings all adorable, loving, and fun. Our darling parents raised us in the small border town of Clones, Co. Monaghan, a place I will always call home.

I am a living kidney donor for my eldest-and-best-looking brother. We have the amazing staff at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin to thank for their life-changing work in kidney transplantation and the restored health of our beloved sibling. Please carry the card and have the chat.
